This 20-minute segment of Pangea Day is about reconciliation. First we welcome Jehane Noujaim, whose dream of a "world day of film" is the heart of Pangea Day. Queen Noor takes the stage to share her own story of crossing worlds. Her personal story segues into two powerful stories of peacemakers in today's most heart-rending conflicts. First, excerpts from the film "Encounter Point" introduce us to the Bereaved Families Forum, which joins Israeli and Palestinian families who share both a deep loss and a desire for an end to violence. Two members of this group, Robi Damelin and Ali Abu Awwad, speak onstage in one of the most moving moments of the day. Following this, we see an excerpt from Jehane Noujaim's "Combatants for Peace," about two former enemies. Jonathan Shapira and Bassam Aramin take the stage in London -- where, sadly, the words that Jonathan Shapira had prepared for this day are overcome by tragic news. Dave Stewart and his big band play two songs, followed by Karen Armstrong, from London, who shares a deeply understood message of religious tolerance.
