Queen Noor, the widow of the late King Hussein of Jordan, works for peace and economic justice in the Middle East and throughout the world. Among her many charitable activities, she is president of the United World Colleges (UWC), a network of colleges that foster cross-cultural understanding and global peace; sits on the global board of The Hunger Project, an international organization committed to ending hunger and empowering women and communities; and acts as a passionate advocate for land mine remediation.
