By age 13, Palestinian Bassam Aramin was throwing rocks at Israeli soldiers. Seven years in jail convinced him that violence was not the answer, and soon he met Yonatan Shapira, an Israeli Air Force pilot who refused to fly missions in occupied territories. They helped form Combatants for Peace -- Israelis and Palestinians working together to end the region's cycle of violence. Aramin is a goodwill ambassador for Children of Peace in Palestine and Israel and the Children of Peace in the UK.
